  3. Camogie Team – Pretty in Pink!

New-Bridge Integrated College Camogie Team have gone from strength to strength in the past year and are improving with each match.  Following their participation in the Ulster Schools Development blitz , the girls  were delighted to meet Camogie stalwart Mary O’Connor who was instrumental in the set up of the camogie in the school.  Mary spoke to the girls with inspiring works of encouragement.    Katie Canniford was selected to receive a pink jersey as a token for the effort and commitment she displayed throughout the year. All of the girls received a pink camogie ball.  The team availed of a promotion in the Irish News and having collected the necessary tokens are now also equipped with a full  supply of  camogie balls .

The girls are not only playing well but they are looking well in their Pink/White Helmets.  The team hope to fundraise for matching jerseys and would welcome sponsorship from interested parties.

Two members of the Team, Rachel Canniford and Sarah Malone recently had the privilege of playing in the mini games at half time in Croke Park during the All Ireland Camogie Final, Down Vs Meath.

A third member of the New-Bridge Camogie Team, Katie Canniford participated in the U14 Down Development Team at the All Ireland Blitz recently and all the teams paraded in Croke Park at the Senior Match.
