Year 8 Football Team –  Mid Ulster League Champions

Year 8 played their fourth league match against St. Brigid’s High School under the beautiful setting of Armagh Cathedral. Leading up to the match the team knew a victory would win them the league, having previously played Tandragee, Drumglass and Markethill High.

The match started briskly with an early goal from Peter McGrath that set the tone for the rest of the match. Further goals from Peter McGrath and Josh Martin saw New-Bridge comfortable at half time leading 6-1. The second half saw changes being made with subs brought on that allowed the boys the opportunity to thoroughly enjoy the game. Further goals from Peter McGrath, Niall Lennon and Lewis McMillan allowed New-Bridge to go on and win the game comfortably 14 -1.

We look forward to the presentation of the League Cup and medals in the near future. Man of the Match, scoring 6 goals was Peter McGrath.
