Record Breaking GCSE Results at New-Bridge Integrated College.

The students of New-Bridge Integrated College have achieved an historic set of GCSE results with 90% of our students achieving 5A*-C at GCSE level, 25% above the Northern Ireland Average. We are also delighted to report that 70% of our students achieved 5 A*-C grades including English and Mathematics which is significantly above the Northern Ireland average.

In the core subjects of English and Mathematics New-Bridge students have again performed significantly above the Northern Ireland average for all schools. In Mathematics an outstanding 97% of our students achieved grades A*-C which is higher than the NI Average for Selective schools.

Our students have worked hard to achieve A*/A grades across a broad range of subjects offered at the college with 68% of our pupils achieving these top grades. Over 26% of our pupils achieved a minimum of 5 A*/A grades in their subjects with a number of our students achieving up to 10 A*/A grades.

To have gained our best ever set of results is a tribute to both students and staff. I would like to thank the dedicated staff at New-Bridge for their hard work and commitment in supporting our students.

At New-Bridge Integrated College we pride ourselves on the relationships built between teachers and pupils; relationships built on trust, respect and the belief that anything is possible. New-Bridge is an all-ability school and our school ethos places a special emphasis on each student achieving their full academic potential. We appreciate the ongoing support our parents have shown in working with the college to create strong partnerships, which have been key in our results. We thank all the teachers within the Banbridge Area Learning schools who have contributed to the pupils’ success, through delivering Collaborative Courses.

The majority of our pupils will continue their education at New-Bridge Integrated College in our Sixth Form and we look forward to welcoming them back to continue their studies in our Sixth Form, where they can avail of an extensive range of A Level subjects. Some of our students have secured places within the Southern Regional College and elsewhere and we wish them well.

“I am very proud of our young people and extend my congratulations as they embark on the next stage of their educational journey”
