On Monday 2 September we launched a brand new project for year 8. This will be in the form of a social campaign where the year 8 are developed as social activists working to make their world better! A first for such work with our youngest students . The project aims to support the A1 phase 2 upgrade work which will result in students travelling to Stormont to deliver their speeches to Minister for Infrastructure John O’Dowd .
In school yesterday we welcomed Monica Heaney who lost her son Karl on the A1 who spoke to our students along with Alliance Party Joy Ferguson . Sinead Lunny also spoke to the students about her own personal injury experience on the treacherous A1.
We look forward to great things from Year 8!
