YENI visited New-Bridge today to run a Digital Youth Masterclass with 10ME.

Students had the opportunity to get hands-on with the latest digital technology and learn about careers in the digital industry. They heard from guest speakers Stephen Houston from Quizfortune, Glenn Sands from ER Media and Leanne Chapman from O2. The students were able to work directly with these digital industry experts and showcase their business idea to them, with the chance of being entered to compete at the Digital Youth Final.

The pupils then had to work in groups to come up with their own business idea for an app. They came up with some fantastic ideas and pitched their ideas as a group to the experts. The chosen winners however were Ellis Taylor, Leah Geddis, Phoenix McGivern, Toni Maginnis and Hannah McInnes. The group came up with an idea called “Wee Froot” which connects an app to a bracelet to check blood pressure, sugar intake etc as well as many other fun features for children. YENI were very impressed with this idea and are excited to see how the group can develop this.  Watch this space!
