The guest of honour past pupil, Rachael Dinsmore, now a qualified dentist, was fondly remembered as a model student with exceptional drive.
Addressing the many people in attendance in the school assembly hall, school principal, Mrs Anderson explained that New-Bridge Integrated College was about to celebrate a major landmark. She said: “We are proud of the fact that we are about to embark on our 20th anniversary year as an integral, all-ability school, a school growing from strength to strength, where shared education is practised every day. “We continue to ensure that all our pupils are provided with the opportunity to achieve to their full educational potential, in a challenging and stimulating environment in which they all feel cherished and valued.”
“Our prize-giving is about celebrating achievement through an impressive range of curricular activities which stretch, motivate and support our young people. “Today is about saying to the pupils of New-Bridge ‘Well done to you, for everything that you have achieved this year. Today is your day.’ “Today we come together as a community for our pupils. Today we celebrate their progress, their successes and their accomplishments.”
To add to the celebratory mood, an African choir and the school choir provided musical entertainment, much to the delight of the many students, members and staff and various guests in attendance.
