The College is delighted at the high level of achievement of our pupils in their GCSE examinations.  We congratulate all our students on achieving 100% pass rate at grades A*-G.  Over 75% of our Year 12 pupils have achieved 5 or more GCSE grades A* – C; significantly above the Northern Ireland average for non selective schools and there has also been a 20% increase from last year’s results on the number of our students who achieved 7A*-C grades, with continual improvement in A*-C grades in GCSE English and Maths.  Our top ten students achieved between 6+ A*A grades which is represents a strong academic achievement for our school.

 

As an all-ability school we maintain the ethos that each individual can achieve their full academic potential, and in many cases beyond that expectation. This is again reflected in the GCSE results for this year’s cohort of pupils.

 

The majority of our pupils will continue their education at New-Bridge Integrated College in Sixth Form, whilst some have secured places at the Southern Regional College to pursue their studies. With record breaking A level results last week, achieving the best set of A level results in the history of the college; our sixth form continues to expand with a wide range of courses on offer to match the ability range of our pupils.  I would like to take the opportunity to once again congratulate all our students and wish all of them every success in their future career pathways. I would also like to thank the dedicated staff at New-Bridge for their hard work and commitment in helping the pupils to obtain these results.  We appreciate the ongoing support our parents have shown, in working with the college to create such a strong partnership, which has been key in our recent achievements.
