Another successful year at New-Bridge Integrated College for A Level Students

New-Bridge Integrated College celebrates another successful year of A Level results with 95% of our pupils achieving a minimum of 2+ A Level passes with over 78% achieving 3 A Level passes. We are delighted with the individual performance of all our pupils and congratulate them on their success. We are proud to report that over 50% of our pupils achieved A*/A grades in subjects such as Art, Drama, History, ICT, Creative Multi-Media, Public Services and Sports Studies.  These results clearly represent the tremendous effort and commitment put in by our students and staff over these past two years. We also thank our parents for their support and commitment to our school over the years.

As an integrated, all ability non selective school we are extremely proud of the progression routes our students have secured within Higher/Further Education establishments. It is very rewarding to see our 76% of our students progressing to Degree courses at Queens University, University of Ulster, St Mary’s University College, Stranmillis University and universities oversees in Engineering, Law, Teaching, Nursing, Biomedical Sciences, Psychology, Social Work and Creative Media to name but a few. The range of subjects on offer at A Level caters for all learning styles as well as career aspirations. A full list of our Leavers’ University Destinations will be posted on our school website shortly. Mrs Anderson congratulated the students and their parents, as well as the staff of the college and New-Bridge thanks those who are leaving for all they have given to the college community during their years of study at New-Bridge – it has been a privilege to teach and work with them”. Well done to Year 14 Class of 2019.

Our Year 13 students also had reason to celebrate with again 97% of our students achieving 3 A level passes at AS level.   70% of our pupils achieved 3 A*-C grades which is a remarkable achievement. We wish our AS students all the very best as they progress to A2 Level.

Mrs Anderson praised the successful collaborations with our partner schools in the Banbridge Area Learning Community which enables our pupils to access a wide range of A Level traditional and vocational courses. We thank all our schools for the collective work which is carried out within the Banbridge Area Learning Community which enable our pupils to achieve to the best of their ability and progress to the next stage in their education.

May I take this opportunity to inform you that any student interested in joining Sixth Form at New-Bridge Integrated College should visit the school on Thursday 22 August from 9 am onwards, to discuss our extensive range of A Level and BTEC courses and apply for a sixth form place.  Please note that pupils should bring their GCSE results slip to the school on that day.  Good luck to all GCSE students.
