  3. Celebrating Success – CEA Learner of the Year Awards

We are delighted to acknowledge the achievements of two New-Bridge College Pupils at the  CCEA Celebrating Achievement Ceremony on 8th May 2013.  Miss Claire Berry and Miss Grainne O’Hare were presented with the prestigious ‘Learner of Year’ award by the Chair of CCEA,  Mr Trevor Carson, in  Design and Creativity and Business and Services respectively.

Both pupils had completed these courses as part of their GCSEs in New-Bridge.  Occupational Studies Courses are offered in collaboration with the Newry Campus of the Southern Regional College through the Banbridge area Learning Community.

CCEA presents a total of nine awards for its Occupational Studies courses across the whole of Northern Ireland.

“ These awards are a public acknowledgement of the achievements of those individuals who have become accomplished, motivated and skilled in their chosen subject area. It also recognises the art played by teachers, lecturers, tutors and family members in helping to bring about this success.”

To be successful in two out of the nine awards across Northern Ireland is a huge achievements and one we are very proud of. We would wish every success to Claire and Grainne for their future careers and congratulations again for their awards.
