Pupil of the month is a rewards system that takes place in KS3 English. Each teacher nominates one pupil in every class they teach, to receive this award. The pupils are given a certificate, a little bag of sweets and – most importantly- a homework pass that they can use one time until the end of the following month. Teachers are looking out for students who display some of the following behaviours: exceptional manners, enthusiasm for the subject, excellent class or homework, helping their peers, contribution to class discussion, reading aloud and improved effort or attainment. We have so many good pupils that it is hard to choose only one per class, every month!
