On Thursday morning, James Applegate, the U.S. Consulate General, visited New-Bridge Integrated College and met with Sixth form pupils who were provided with the opportunity to listen to him speak and to ask questions about his role in Northern Ireland.
Whilst the consular function is to provide assistance to American citizens and facilitate travel to the United States, they also work alongside leaders and organisations within Northern Ireland to build mutually beneficial partnerships and to promote political, social, and economic progress across the region.
Sixth Form students were keen to share how we promote peace through our integrated ethos and the relational approach we take.
