WORLD BOOK DAY

English department celebrated World Book Day.  Years 8, 9 and 10 took part in various activities throughout the day including redesigning their favourite book cover during English class, attending a ReadOn presentation in the morning as well as the very successful ‘Look like a Book’ competition during lunch.  Pupils came to school dressed as their favourite characters from books they have read in order to win a prize.  Thanks to Mrs Anne Lennon, students were able to mark the occasion with a fantastic picture taken in the Photo Booth set up in the English foyer which proved to be very popular!

Year 11 and 12 also made use of the Photo Booth as they too dressed for the occasion.  Books in hand they attended the Book Club set up for the day where they shared their enthusiasm, passion and thirst for books with one another
