Senior and junior groups had the opportunity to make St Brigid’s Crosses to mark the feast day of one of Ireland’s Patron Saints and the first day of Spring.   9MC worked with Year 14 students in a collaborative workshop involving the Art and RE department to discover a little more about St Brigid, focusing on her work to help those in need.  Senior students demonstrated how to manipulate rushes into a St Brigid’s Cross which typically has four arms tied at the ends and a woven square in the middle.  All students enjoyed the chance to learn a new skill while working with another year group.
