  3. Success Home and Abroad for Young Enterprise Company

New-Bridge Integrated College ‘ Young Enterprise’ students led by Mrs Dara Morgan, member of the  teaching staff enjoyed tremendous success at the Rushmere Trade show winning two awards, ‘Best Product’ and ‘Best Company runner up’.   Representatives from the company have been selected to travel to Latvia to participate in the ‘International Trade Show’ in April.  New-Bridge is the first school in Northern Ireland to participate in the International Company Programme trade show and the students hope to pave the way for other schools to participate in future international trade shows.

The students have named their company ‘The Life Long Bag Company’ and have produced high quality, uniquely designed reusable bags aimed at young people, men and women.  They saw a niche in the market following the introduction of the government tax in April 2013 when they noticed that most shopping bags are aimed at women.   They wanted a product that would appeal to everyone, including men and young people that is both eco-friendly and aesthetically pleasing.  Their product is high quality, functional and cool to be seen with. They are extremely grateful for the immense amount of guidance and support from their business advisor, Mr Michael Young of Telepizza. Michael has guided the Young Enterprise Company throughout the entire process, attending weekly meetings and sharing his business experiences and advice.

They are all very excited to be heading to Riga Latvia on the 6th of April until the 9th of April. They arrive late on the 6th and will spend the 7th assembling their trade show stand before judging commences on the 8th of April.
