It has been brought to our attention that there is a growing concern across schools in both N.Ireland and Rep of Ireland over the use of a social media app called ‘SimSimi’. This is an anonymous chat app which has no moderators to regulate or facilities to report inappropriate content.
The app allows users to view anonymous – and often insulting – messages left about them. We would ask parents/guardians to check your sons / daughters use of this app and monitor same. We do not wish any students to be the targets of inappropriate messages.
