  3. Y8 and Y9 Gaelic Team selected for Danske Bank Ulster Schools League

It is with great excitement that we announce New-Bridge Integrated College will be taking part in this year’s Ulster Schools Gaelic League. New-Bridge will enter two teams in the hope of bringing some silverware back to Loughbrickland.

Year 8 and 9 boys will compete against our neighbours,St Patrick’s Banbridge, St Colman’s Ballynahinch, St Colmcille’s Crossgar, Shimna Integrated College and Strangford Integrated College. Year 10 and Year 11 boys will face St Patrick’s Banbridge, St Colman’s Ballynahinch, CBS Glen Road and St Patrick’s Lisburn.

Since the beginning of term, both teams have been training tirelessly every Wednesday after school with Mr Mc Glade. They have been eagerly awaiting the announcement of our participation in Ulster Schools GAA, which will give them the opportunity to put their talents to great use, against other more established footballing schools.

It is hoped that this will be the start of a successful foray into Ulster Colleges Schools GAA for New-Bridge and that Gaelic Games will continue to grow and flourish here in the school for many years to come.

Good Luck Team New-Bridge!
