Congratulations to New-Bridge student Jack Delaney, 9JK, who has won Best Individual Project in the Giga Spider Category (13-15 y/o) in the prestigious Eir Junior Spiders Awards held in Croke park on 25 April 2016.
Jack was delighted that his website YouthTech shortlisted for the Eir Junior Spiders Awards in two categories in his age group for Giga Spiders. YouthTech was shortlisted for Best Individual Project and Creative Web Coding. Jack was so excited to be shortlisted and couldn’t wait until the awards in Croke Park last weekend! “There are great websites up for the awards so it’s really good to be even shortlisted”.
Jack who is self taught has put many hours into coding YouthTech.ie and thoroughly deserves his success! The judges recognised the effort put in, commenting on how well the site is thought out, regularly updated and hand coded.
The Awards were hosted by Aidan Power from RTE . The event was well attended and had a record number of entries this year, with school finalists from 25 counties
