On Wednesday 13th November, Year 13 pupils began a project with Habitat for Humanity.

New-bridge Integrated College  teamed up with St Mary’s High School, Newry and hosted the first of three workshops.  Pupils were given the opportunity to spend some time getting acquainted before exploring the work carried out by Habitat for Humanity.

Habitat for Humanity have set the students involved a fundraising challenge of £1235,  the average cost of a house in a developing country. Fundraising  events are in the planning so watch out for ways in which you can support this worthy cause.

Next week Y13 students will participate in a practical day on a site, working with Habitat for Humanity, renovating a Simon Community hostel in Belfast.
