  3. Road Safe Road Show imparts hard hitting message to young drivers

On Wednesday 4th of February New-Bridge Integrated College hosted the PCSP Public Meeting and the Roadsafe Road Show YPAD project. This brought together 6oo pupils from the Banbridge Area Learning Community to improve their attitude and skills towards road safety. The BALC schools recognised the benefit of bringing together the public and private sectors to further young driver road safety. The contribution of the PSNI, NI Fire and Rescue Service and the NI Ambulance Service in highlighting the consequences of unsafe driving through hard hitting information based on personal experiences, statistics and media presentations  could not be underestimated on the young people or on the general public. The multi-agency collaboration was undoubtedly a key strength in getting the message across to the target audience. The pupils themselves commented on the effectiveness of having so many organisations present who deal first hand with the theme of young driver road safety.
