Congratulations to our Year 12 students who completed their work experience week prior to half term.  Mrs Morgan, Work Experience Co-ordinator is extremely proud of our New-Bridge students who did an excellent job representing the College.  Mrs Anderson was delighted with feedback from employers, ‘Our students are a credit to the College.  It was a privilege to read the comments from Employers’.

Year 12 Students worked in a range of areas of employment.  The following is a selection of the comments from Employers.

Caroline Andrews, 12MG, Boots Pharmacy Banbridge.  ‘Caroline is an excellent worker, very capable and helpful. She organised medicines for pickup by medical centres and served customers in the Boots shop’.

Matthew Kernaghan, 12MG, Charis Consultancy.  ‘ We are amazed at the ICT Matthew has gained through school’s ICT department’. Matthew has been asked to build a database for his step dad’s company now that he knows he is capable.

 

Ellen Beattie, 12 KR, Lurgan Veterinary Clinic.  ‘Ellen observed surgery in theatre, organised medication, checked medical records and equipment.  She showed a very positive attitude to the job and enjoyed her experience’.

Kayleigh Hamilton, 12KR, Salto Gym.  ‘Kayleigh had a great week and is thinking of volunteering! She was coaching toddler/mums group, teenagers with disabilities and gymnastics’.

Conor Burns 12CP, Lisburn School of Music.  ‘Conor helped give music lessons in primary schools, set up instruments and met professional pianists and loved his week’.

Anna Fletcher, 12CP, Marie Allen Photographer.  ‘Anna is a great girl and we really enjoyed having her. Anna observed a professional photoshoot and how a photoshoot is organised.  A real Photoshop expert!.

Natasha Doyle, 12TN Ballydown nursery school. ‘Natasha took direction well. She enjoyed a good rapport with the children and had a warm and caring manner’.

Jenna Duffy, 12TN, Windsor home Bakery.  ‘Jenna was a great help and enjoyed her placement. Jenna worked in the kitchen helping with cake and bun Decoration’.

Jake Davison, 12TN, Maghaberry Prison.  ‘Jake worked in a range of departments including admin and the learning and skills centre. Jake is a polite and well mannered young man and showed enthusiasm in all tasks even when he was filing solicitor’s letters’.
