‘My work focuses on circumstances that have been; the works are like objects of mourning of moments in time that are unreachable to us again. Unlike history painting, my works don’t talk to the viewer about a past event, but explore the changes from them. I want to show that we are all moving from an 0rdered state to a disordered state, showing a one direction flow to time for example, ageing.

I want to make a series of paintings exploring entropy and how everything is becoming less and less ordered. What got me interested in the
chaos of time was the 1968 film ‘The Planet of the Apes’. The film is set on a futuristic version of earth as a ruined wasteland . Time as a one way
directional flow is always present in the movies landscape and story, and I want to communicate how this change affects our everyday life, at a personal scale. Even to the point to which our food has a sell by date’.
