  3. Year 12 Students attend CRED Workshop

As part of our continuing ‘CRED'(Community, Relations, Equality and Diversity )Programme at New-Bridge Integrated College, students in Year 12 had the opportunity to participate in a workshop aimed at the difficulties facing people in a minority group in Northern Ireland. A hard hitting Drama performed by ‘Spanner in the Works’ theatre company, on Thursday 1st May, raised awareness of the challenges facing minority groups within Northern Ireland. Visitors working on behalf of Newry and Mourne District Council, all of whom represent minority groups in our local area, participated in a question and answer session with students focussing on challenging stereotypes and changing behaviours. The aim of the workshop is to celebrate diversity within our local community and to challenge stereotypes which have been developed through the media.
